Do you accept commissioned art projects?
Yes for sure – my favourite type. You give me an idea of what you want and we agree on a budget. I then adapt and construct the idea, seeking inspiration as the build progresses.
What type of art do you make?
Anything and everything in a retro futuristic style. Many commissions are related to a buyers hobby or occupation, so it may be an art piece to display in your home or at a place of work. Contact me to discuss your requirements.
How big are the sculptures?
Normally they are designed to fit on a cupboard or shelf, and sometimes they can be wall mounted. It depends where you want to put it as I can make it as small or as large as you wish. We can discuss where you want to display it when you contact me.
What shipping options do you offer?
Small sturdy items can be sent by mail but larger more delicate installations are hand delivered and installed at your home premises. We can discuss the option when you get in touch.
What are your payment terms?
Normally 30% deposit to allow for the purchase of essential materials and the balance to be paid on completion.
Does your art have a certificate of authenticity?
Yes, all my art and sculptures have an individual serial number and come with a certificate of authenticity
How should interested customers contact you?

How long does it take to make my piece of art?
It’s very difficult for me to give a timescale until I know more about what you have in mind. Smaller art pieces may take a couple of weeks and larger installations may take a couple of months. Contact me for more details.
Will my sculpture do anything?
Not necessarily, it is simply an art piece to be displayed. However, most of my sculptures include lighting, and some produce steam, or they may have movement, and some can talk. Depending on your requirements I will incorporate what is possible within the design. Contact me for more details.
How much do you charge?
I work to your budget. It’s very difficult to quantify a cost until I know what you require, what materials are needed, and how long it will take me to create. Contact me to discuss the options.
Do you use environmentally friendly materials?
Wherever possible I use recycled materials though that is not always possible depending on the design. Many items within the structure are repurposed and are used differently from their original purpose.
Who is Laird?
He is the Laird of Glencairn and is the proud owner of a 12-inch square of land in Scotland. He also produces handmade unique art sculptures in a retro-futuristic design.
